TV show ‘Uron Tubri’ completes 100 episodes; team enjoys a cosy celebration

The cast and crew of Bengali TV show ‘Uron Tubri’ are still in a celebratory mood. They have every reason to be on cloud nine as the show has crossed a new milestone. The Sohini Banerjee and Swastik Ghosh starrer has completed a successful run of 100 episodes which certainly calls for a celebration. Without wasting the opportunity, the cast and crew of the show enjoyed a cosy celebration on the shooting sets.A customised cake was brought to make the occasion more special and all the artists present on the sets enjoyed a whale of a time. Sohini, Swastik, Soume Chatterjee, Sukanya Basu, Sougata Bandyopadhyay along with other teammates had some memorable moments celebrating their new milestone.
Starring veteran actress Laboni Sarkar as a courageous lady named Sabitri who single-handedly takes care of her daughter after being abandoned by husband, the show has a strong cast. While Sohini, Aditi and ‘Krishnakoli’ fame Soume are playing Laboni’s reel daughters, the TV show also features Abhijit Guha as Rajen (Sabitri’s husband) and actress Rii Sen (as Rajen’s second wife Rupali) in negative roles. Model and actor Swastik made his television comeback after quite some time. Although he is a popular face in modelling circuit, Swastik wasn’t seen on the small screen after ‘Dugga Dugga’.
Meanwhile, the show, which is the remake of hit Telugu soap opera ‘Radhamma Kuthuru’ and also has a Kannada remake titled ‘Puttakkana Makkalu’, was launched in March. Though the show had set high hopes initially, it is yet to make a mark in terms of TRP.
