TV show 'Kanyadaan' completes 2 years

It is celebration time for team ‘Kanyadaan’. The television show has completed a run of two years on Bengali small screen. Artists Priya Malakar, Ritobrota Dey, Laboni Ghosh, and others enjoyed a cosy celebration on the shooting set.

The cast and crew took out some time from their busy shooting schedule and had a good time together. A beautiful cake was brought to make the moment more special.
The Bengali daily soap stars Deepsheta Mitra, Priya, Swapnila Chakraborty, Ritoprota, and Laboni Ghosh as reel sisters. Senior artist Arindam Ganguly essays the role of a loving father. ‘Kanyadaan’ also has Neil Chatterjee, Aditya Roy, Daipayan Chakraborty playing prominent characters in the show.
‘Kanyadaan’ narrates the story of Anjan Basu and his five daughters. Anjan’s life revolves around his daughters. The show is one of the popular fiction shows aired by the channel. Interestingly, the story is inspired by the popular Tamil soap opera ‘Metti Oli’ which was remade in many other regional languages. With a few changes, the makers later produced ‘Kanyadaan’. The popularity of the Bengali show, then inspired other remakes including in Telugu, Marathi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
