Bengali small screen is ready to entertain the audience with a series of new shows. The list is quite interesting with shows across genres, right from light-hearted comedies to love stories. That’s not all, a few of them feature some of the most popular artists of this industry too. And one among those is ‘Biyer Phool’, a multi-starrer comedy drama that will follow the story of five brothers who live with their grandfather’s brother Chirokumar, a bachelor.
The upcoming daily soap will star Nabanita Das and Raja Goswami as a reel pair and veteran actor Dulal Lahiri as Chirokumar, besides featuring an ensemble cast in prominent roles. The show will hit the small screens on June 12 and will be aired on the TV channel that runs ‘Alor Thikana’, ‘Saathi’, ‘Meghe Dhaka Tara’ and others.
The makers promise to tickle the funny bone with comedy-drama ‘Biyer Phool’. According to the story, Chirokumar is the head of the family who stays far away from women and strictly advises the same to all his grandsons. Things change when two girls, Koli and Ichche fall for Swarna Kumar and Arya Kumar respectively. Koli is a bubbly girl who wants to get married to Swarna. Ichche, on the other hand, is a boxer. While Arya and Swarna try their best to stay away from love, cupid strikes them hard. The duo eventually falls in love. But things aren’t easy for the lovebirds especially because Chiro Kumar is strictly against marriage and reminds his grandson of the oath they have taken to stay bachelor for the rest of their lives. Meanwhile, Koli and Ichche are equally stubborn. How the lovebirds convince Chirokumar and whether they finally get married form the major crux of the story. In the show, Nabanita will play Koli’s character while Ekta Ganguly will essay Ichche, who is a boxer. Raja and Souvik Banerjee will be seen as brothers Swarna Kumar and Arya Kumar. The cast also includes actors Shoumo Banerjee, Sougata Banerjee,
Manoj Ojha and others.
Besides this comedy-drama, Bengali TV is also ready to welcome new shows ‘Phulki’, ‘Sandhya Tara’, ‘Roopsagore Moner Manush’, and others.
