A number of Bengali TV shows are ending their journey. After ‘Pilu’, ‘Lalkuthi’, ‘Sona Roder Gaan’, yet another popular television serial is going to end its journey. Rumours are rife that Annwesha Hazra and Writwik Mukherjee starrer ‘Amader Ei Poth Jodi Na Shesh Hoy’ will conclude soon. The show was launched in April, 2021.
It is one of the fiction shows currently running on Bengali television which enjoys a niche fan base for its story. Taking a break from usual saas-bahu sagas, ‘Amader Ei Poth Jodi Na Sesh Hoy’ narrates the story of a bubbly girl, who chooses to drive a taxi after attempting a lot of other careers. While protagonist Urmi’s free spirit and her sweet and sour relationship with Satyaki stole the hearts of Bengali audience, the members of Mukherjee family managed to woo the audience as well.
Annwesha made her debut with Raj Chakraborty-produced ‘Kajal Lata’ and went on to feature in a number of popular shows including ‘Amar Thikana tai Briddhashram’, ‘Thakumar Jhuli’ and ‘Chuni Panna’. Her chemistry with Writwik is an instant hit.
‘Amader Ei Poth Jodi Na Shesh Hoy’ features a strong cast that includes artists Phalguni Chatterjee, Rohit Mukherjee, Sumanta Mukherjee, Suchandra Banerjee, Mishmee Das and others. Mishmee plays a grey character in this popular TV drama.
