Shruti Das is in a celebratory mood. June 26 is a special day for the ‘Trinayani’ famed actress and the celebrations have just started. Shruti’s father Subrata Das turned 60 on Wednesday. The actress took to social media to wish her father a happy birthday. She posted a bunch of photos of her father and wrote, “Congratulations my sweet SIXTY! Happy birthday baba! My pillar. My inspiration. My shelter. My power. My strength. My god. My everything. I love you. Happy 60th birthday @subratadaskatwa! We need you. Be fit and fine. Always with you.”
Shruti also shared a glimpse of Payesh preparation on the occasion of her father’s birthday. Then she went on to share a few more photos where she is seen feeding Payesh to her father.
A few months back, Shruti celebrated her parents’ wedding anniversary and treated them with the gift of a lifetime. The actress got her parents a brand new flat for their 30
th wedding anniversary and showed off the nameplate with pride. Shruti took to Instagram and shared glimpses of their new abode. Sharing the photos on Instagram, she wrote, “It’s my parents’ 30
th wedding anniversary. This year I gave them what we’ve always dreamt of. ” Tagging her husband, director and producer Swarnendu Samaddar, Shruti thanked her for always being by her side. Shruti also mentioned her parents in the same post and said that, all she does is to make them happy.
Shruti legally got married to Swarnendu in 2023. They registered their marriage and held an intimate affair with their close friends and family members. Shruti told ETimes, “My in-laws are the sweetest people of all. Not only are they supportive, they are extremely affectionate towards me. They are the ones who encouraged me to take this step and get my parents a new flat. Now we stay together under the same roof.” Shruti shared that her parents and in-laws are now living in the same building.
Shruti started her television career in 2019 with the prime-time TV soap ‘Trinayani’. As the female protagonist of the show Nayan, she won the heart of the audience. After ‘Trinayani’, she starred in ‘Desher Maati’ as Noa and ‘Ranga Bou’ as Pakhi. Shruti is awaiting her big screen debut this year with the film ‘Amar Boss’ by Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy, helmed by Windows Production. She will be sharing the screen with veteran actress Rakhee Gulzar in this film. The film is slated to release around Christmas this year.
