’, actor Gourab Roy Chowdhury has come a long way. Gourab, who is known for his acting skills, has some other talents too.

The actor is a bookworm and also loves to write poems whenever he isn’t shooting. But only a few people know that he loves to play

flute

too. In fact, he is seen playing flute inside his make-up room whenever he doesn’t have any shot. Talking about his love for ‘Banshi’ he said, “I always wanted to play flute. The sound has a hypnotizing effect that makes you fall in love with it. Unfortunately, I don’t have a proper training. Following my passion, one day, I decided to learn it. I started watching online videos. Initially it sounded horrible. But I kept practising.”

The actor continued honing his skills since 2014. He said, “It all started during Tomaye Amaye Mile days. I used to practise it whenever I get time. In fact, I keep practising it whenever I am not shooting.”

The actor shared an interesting story about buying the

musical instrument

. “I bought a flute from a local fair. I was so happy after buying it. But the man duped me. I came back home only to realize that it doesn’t work at all. I started asking others from where can I buy the musical instrument. Following the suggestions, I decided to visit Lalbazar area, Kolkata, where there are many shops that sell musical instruments.”

The actor also writes poems. He said, “There are millions of thoughts that run through our mind. Penning them down is a tough task. I can’t say how good my poems are but I love to write.” He shared that writing poems and playing flute make his mundane days full of joy. Gourab wants to be a maker and loves to write story plots for television serials and films too.

On the work front, Gourab is playing the lead in ‘Trinayani’, which also has Shruti Das. The show had a good start in the first week as it scored pretty well on the TRP charts.
