Bengali daily soap ‘Khorkuto’ has completed 500 episodes. The cast and crew enjoyed a cosy celebration party on the sets as they celebrated their new milestone. A beautiful cake was brought to make the moment even more memorable. It was indeed a special moment for the team.
Trina Saha, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Sonal Mishra along with other artists and crew members enjoyed the celebration party on the shooting floor.
The light-hearted TV drama was launched in August 2020 featuring an ensemble cast.
While Trina Saha and Koushik Roy are playing the lead roles in ‘Khorkuto’, a number of renowned actors play prominent roles in the show. Dulal Lahiri, Ratna Ghosal, Chandan Sen,
Sohini Sengupta, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Anushree Das, Abhishek Chatterjee, Rajanya Mitra, Debottam Majumdar, Malabika Sen, Suchismita Choudhury, Raja Biswas and many others are a part of this popular show. Leena Gangopadhyay is penning the story.
The show, which will now witness a change in time slot, received a good response from the audience. Protagonists Soujanya-Gungun’s chemistry, Potka’s (played by Ambarish) cheerful nature and Siddheshwar (played by Dulal Lahiri) strict behaviour and Bhajan's (played by Chandan) earnest wish to learn music added more fun quotient to the storyline.
Khorkuto’s success on Bengali television prompted the makers to launch it in other languages. It has been remade in Tamil as ‘Namma Veetu Ponnu’, Marathi as ‘Thipkyanchi Rangoli’, Malayalam ‘Palunku’ and Hindi as ‘Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey’.
‘Khorkuto’ will be aired in a noon slot from next week and its current timeslot will be replaced by upcoming show ‘Alta Phoring’.
