Aindrila, who is originally from Berhampur, Murshidabad district, was diagnosed with cancer when she was just a teenager. She underwent chemotherapy and won the battle with her courage.

In February 2021, when Aindrila Sharma was diagnosed with cancer for the second time, the news left all her fans and industry colleagues deeply worried. She was diagnosed with a cancerous tumour in her lung. Aindrila was immediately taken to a hospital in Delhi for treatment. The actress underwent chemotherapy and a critical surgery.
