It’s a wrap for the television serial ‘Mou Er Bari’. The daily soap will soon end its journey on Bengali television and yesterday (October 21), the cast and crew attended the last day of shoot. It was quite an overwhelming moment for the team as they faced the camera for the few final sequences. Adrija Addy Roy, Abhishek Veer Sharma and other artists, director Gopal Chakraborty celebrated their journey.
A beautiful cake was brought to mark the occasion. The cast and crew enjoyed a cosy celebration on the shooting set.
Emotion was flying high as the team had to bid goodbye to the set, which has become more like their second home over the course of the journey. The cast and crew took a walk down the memory lane and remembered fond memories associated with the project.
‘Mou Er Bari’, starring Adrija and Abhishek as the lead pair, was launched in August, 2021. The show revolved around protagonist Mou and her struggle. Mou wanted to take care of her parents after the wedding. However, she had to face obstacles because of the mindset that says a girl should only perform all the duties toward her in-laws after the wedding. The TV show highlighted many socially relevant issues including domestic violence, gender equality and others. It received praise for showcasing such issues in the narrative. ‘Mou Er Bari’ features Neel Mukherjee, Dipanwita Debnath, and others in prominent roles. Neel plays the character of Adrija’s reel dad, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.
