TV show ‘Lalkuthi’, starring Bengali TV’s current favourite reel pair Rahul Arunoday Banerjee and Rooqma Ray, is going to end its journey. The cast and crew recently wrapped up their shoot on an emotional note.
Actors Rahul, Rooqma, Prriyam Chakraborty, Suvajit Kar, Anamika Chakraborty, and others were present on the sets. It was an overwhelming moment for the entire team who shot for the one last time on Lalkuthi’s set prior to bidding the project goodbye. They reminisced all the good memories associated with the show and recalled the day the team started shooting for the show. A special cake was brought and the team celebrated their journey together as a family.
Interestingly, fans loved Rooqma and Rahul’s crackling chemistry. The duo became a fan’s favourite when they first shared the screen in ‘Desher Maati’ as a reel pair. Their chemistry managed to catch the attention of the audience although the show had an ensemble cast. The makers of ‘Lalkuthi’ wanted to recreate the magic yet again on-screen. Although the pairing managed to woo the audience, the story couldn’t show wonder.
The suspense-thriller with a tinge of horror, was launched in May setting high hopes. The show has an ensemble cast and makers didn’t shy away from adding frequent twists to amp up the drama quotient. But despite adding back-to-back tweaks, ‘Lalkuthi’ couldn’t show its magic on TRP charts and the makers decided to end the show. Recently, TV show ‘Pilu’ concluded its journey too.
