Team ‘Debi Choudhurani’ wraps up the shoot on an emotional note

The period drama ‘Debi Choudhurani’ is going to end soon. The team had their wrap up shoot yesterday (October 21). It was quite an emotional moment for the entire cast and crew as they shot for one last time. The show, which was launched in July, 2018, stars Sonamoni in the titular role while, actor Rahul Majumder plays the character Brojeswar.
During the last day shoot all the actors and crew members had an emotional moment.To make the day even more special, a custom made cake was brought. Rahul along with other team members cut the cake and celebrated their togetherness during the wrap-up shoot.
‘Debi Choudhurani’ became quite popular right after its launch. The daily soap has a strong cast that includes, Sujan Mukhopadhyay, Tanima Sen, Sudip Sarkar, Awrko, Sritoma Bhattacharjee and others. It scored well on the TRP charts too.
Because of the payment dues from the producer’s side, the telecast of the show reportedly had to suffer. A number of times, the actors, technicians and vendors reportedly protested raising the issue and went on a strike. According to the industry sources, the channel tried to intervene but finally had to take the decision of wrapping up the show because of such issues.
The show will be replaced by the upcoming show ‘Mohor’, in which Sonamoni will be again seen playing the titular role. ‘Khokababu’ actor Pratik Sen will play the male lead.
