Swikriti Majumder to play Debi Maheshwari in ‘Ya Chandi’

Here’s a piece of good news for all the fans of actress Swikriti Majumder. The actress, who became popular playing the female lead in Syed Arefin starrer ‘Khelaghor’, is back! She will soon be seen in the Mahalaya special television program ‘Ya Chandi’.

Swikriti is all excited about her appearance on the special show which will also feature some of the most popular artists of Bengali television including Sona Moni Saha, Solanki Roy, Debchandrima Singha Roy, Manali Manisha Dey, Swastika Ghosh and others. While Sona Moni is playing Mahishasuramardini on Mahalaya, Swikriti will essay one of the avatars of the Goddess. She will play Debi Maheshwari in ‘Ya Chandi’. The costume and makeup have been beautifully conceptualised, making Swikriti look gorgeous. It will be a pleasant surprise for the audience to see her in the Goddessess’ avatar. Swikriti, who is passionate about dancing, will be seen performing in a dance sequence too.

Swikriti made her debut in ‘Khelaghor’, produced by Snehasish Chakraborty. The show managed to grab the attention of Bengali audience almost instantly, making it popular. Swikriti and Syed Arefin looked good as a reel pair and their crackling chemistry turned out to be an instant hit as well. After the show ended its journey on Bengali television, Swikriti and Syed Arefin have been giving the small screen a miss. The actors teamed up yet again for a music video. Swikriti has been enjoying some me-time and entertained fans with her occasional social media posts only.
