The music reality show Super Singer Junior, judged by Bollywood singer
Kumar Sanu, music director and singer Jeet Gangulii and
Kaushiki Chakraborty
, is creating a lot of buzz everywhere; thanks to its talented participants. In the ‘Independence Day Special’ episode, the participants performed to patriotic songs. Some of the contestants performed hit songs from Hindi films, while some of them chose to perform the songs like, ‘Ekbar Biday De Maa’ written by poet Pitanbar Das or ‘Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon’ written by
Kavi Pradeep or ‘Ekbar’, which can instantly make anyone’s eyes moist.
Young participant Pranjal Das, fron Nadia, who is popular for his Baul songs, left the judges as well as the viewers in tears when he sang ‘Ekbar Biday De Maa’. Not only that, the little participant went so emotional that he started crying right after finishing his song. Judges Kumar Sanu,

and Jeet highly praised him for performing the song which was written in the honour of the patriotic hero
Khudiram Bose
.
Even after his song was over, the audience present on the shooting floor were seen with moist eyes.
Ankita, on the other hand, was praised by the judges for singing ‘Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon’, which is originally sung by Lata Mageshkar.
Sourik, Sabarni and other contestants also performed their best. The show ‘Super Singer Junior’, hosted by actress Rooqma Ray, is introducing a new twist where the viewers can vote for their favourite contestants. Until now, the contestants were eliminated based on the marks given by the judges.
