Sujoy reveals his terrorist connection

After playing a villanous Mamababu in Trinoyoni, Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee is back again on the small screen. The actor is currently playing a terrorist leader in Sushanta Das’ Titli that features Aryann Bhowmik and Madhupriya. The actor seems to be happy to be back on TV.
“Titli has been a popular serial and I play a terrorist leader in this one. It has been a while since I did not work on television.When Sushanto asked me to do this I agreed because of the character and it's standing. It's a complex role, layered with a humane dimension and a negative streak. He believes in terrorism because of his ideology and not just a planter of bombs.,” Sujoy told us.
The actor has several other commitments, including teaching and live shows. How would he manage time, we asked. “For once I found someone in Susanto, who believes I may have a life beyond working for his project and the unit accommodates that as much as I do. This is not regular visibility like I had in Trinoyoni but I have more to offer in terms of an on-screen portrayal. I have two film offers which I shall divulge in time and I hope Riingo resumes his shoot soon, which I am a part of,” he said.
Talking about his experience with megaserials, Sujoy said, “Initially, I started because of money. Television serials pay you decently. But gradually I started enjoying it. People still call me ‘Mamababu’ and tell me how much they “hate” me as the villain. With serials, you have easier access with your audience, I realised,” Sujoy said.
