Sujoy back on television after a hiatus

Talking to us about his return on the small screen, Sujoy said, “It feels nice to be back on television because the acceptance and outreach is quite validating. My character has twists and turns and it’s written very well by Sahana Datta."

The actor plays the character of Hirak Sarkar in the show and is enjoying his stint in television serials after hiatus. “I play a character called Hirak Sarkar, who reaches out to the Sengupta family, claiming to be Debina and Barfi's father. He has lived abroad and had a string of affairs with women of all kind. And now he has a plan which is awaited to be unveiled. The biggest high so far has been a call from the veteran vocalist

, who called up to say that she was captivated by my act. My followers on social media and even strangers have showered me with a whole lot of appreciation.”



Sujoy also does a lot of stage shows like musical and other cultural events. So, does he love being on the stage more or being in front of the camera, we asked. To this he replied, “Actually I enjoy both the platforms. I love the stage for the adventure. I love the camera because every time it teaches me precise consciousness.”
