Sudipa Chatterjee set to make her comeback with ‘Sudipar Songsaar’

Sudipa Chatterjee is ready for her comeback on the screen. The television personality, who rose to fame with the popular cookery show ‘Rannaghar’, is bringing her charm back on the screen. Sudipa is set to launch her own show ‘Sudipar Songsaar’ very soon. She recently shared this update with her fans and followers on social media and they are elated to have her back in the kitchen.However, this time Sudipa won’t limit herself to the kitchen only. As she had promised, ‘Sudipar Songsaar’ is going to be bigger and grander. From sharing culinary tips with the audience to discussing women’s safety and empowerment in modern days – Sudipa’s show will cover it all.

On Wednesday, Sudipa took to Instagram to share the montage of the show. However, the popular TV personality is coming back on television. ‘Sudipar Songsaar’ will be broadcast from her own YouTube channel. A few months back, Sudipa shared a clipping on her Instagram profile revealing that preparations for the show were in full swing for her new show. For ‘Sudipar Songsaar’, she has collaborated with singer Babul Supriyo. They sang a song together and Sudipa had shared the snippet on Instagram.
Incidentally, a top-rated channel on Bengali television recently launched their new culinary show ‘Randhane Bandhan’ with Gaurav Chakrabarty and Ridhima Ghosh as the host of the show. For so many years, Sudipa has been the face of cookery shows on Bengali TV. Sudipa’s Rannaghar enjoyed unparalleled attention and popularity amongst the viewers. After the journey of 17 long years, Rannaghar bid goodbye in 2022. In 2024, the same channel brought back a new cookery show, sans Sudipa. Interestingly, Sudipa announced her show weeks after that.

Sudipa started her journey with ‘Rannaghar’ in 2005. She hosted the show for 13 years straight till 2018. She came back to the show in 2020 and hosted it till the last episode which aired in 2022. In between, the show was hosted by actresses Aparajita Auddy, Ushashi Ray, Tiyasha Lepcha. The last episode of ‘Rannaghar’ was shot on 17th December 2022. The final episode went on-air on 31st December 2022.
