Sudipa Chatterjee got her first dose of vaccine on May 21. “Vaccination is the only way to fight this pandemic. I urge everyone to take the vaccine as early as possible. Wearing a mask in a proper way, covering the mouth and the nose, maintaining social distance and washing hands should be maintained regularly for our own safety,” said Sudipa. She added, “It feels so nice to see that everyone has come forward in their own way to help each other in this hour of crisis.
This only proves the humane side of us.”
Sudipa, who has lost many of her relatives to COVID-19, stresses on the importance of mental health during these dark times. “To keep physically fit, one has to be mentally fit. I have lost a lot of relatives and near and dear ones to COVID-19 in this past one month. But I try to remain positive as I believe there is light at the end of the tunnel. These days, I spend a lot of time stitching. It acts as meditation for me. Previously, I used to read a lot but now I can’t concentrate. I stitched a kurta and dhoti for Bumbada (
Prosenjit Chatterjee) and he wore it to an award function. I made a few kurtas for my son Aadidev too,” said Sudipa, signing off.
