Sudipa Chatterjee brings back actor Shankar Ghoshal to the shooting floor; says, 'being an artist he needs work, not financial aid'

Actor Shankar Ghoshal will soon be seen in an upcoming episode of the cookery show ‘Rannaghar’. The senior actor, who has worked with some legendary personalities like Uttam Kumar, Salil Chowdhury, was facing a stiff financial issue due to lack of work. The news came into the light after actor Sabyasachi Chowdhury, Shankar’s co-star from ‘Mahapeeth Tarapeeth’ shared the latter’s ordeal on his (Sabyasachi’s) social media account.

The post caught the attention of many. Shankar received financial help from many kind-hearted people who stepped forward. ‘Rannaghar’ host Sudipa Chatterjee also learned about Shankar’s condition, how Shankar was once forced to stand the streets of Hati Bagan and ask for help from others. Seeing the wretched condition of an artist, Sudipa felt bad. She urged all the leading channels and production houses to help Shankar bring back to the place he belongs.
Later, Sudipa decided to take the initiative and invited Shankar to her cookery show as a guest. Sudipa shared a photo with Shankar right from the shooting floor along with a post. Sudipa shared how happy she is to see an artist at the place where he belongs. In the post, she also mentioned that many people have stepped forward to help Shankar. But being an artist, he needs work and not financial help. Sudipa thanked everyone who asked for Shankar’s bank account with the desire to help him.
