Soumitrisha Kunndoo-Adrit Roy

The huge turn-up outside Mithai’s last day shoot proves how much viewers loved it. A simple story revolving around a big fat happy family backed with the performances by the star cast made the show popular. While the light-hearted drama brought the show closer to the masses, the protagonists' Mithai-Sid chemistry hugely contributed to the show’s popularity, too. The duo simply stole audiences’ hearts with their khatti-meethi nok jhok and cute moments. It was their first show together and their chemistry worked in favour of Mithai. The show is ending its journey this week, but Mithai-Sid’s pair will be safe in fans’ hearts. (Photo: Facebook)

Rooqma Ray- Rahul Arunoday Banerjee

Rahul-Rooqma first paired up for TV show Desher Maati. Their chemistry slowly became the USP of the show, making the actors among the most-loved pair on Bengali TV. Fans started addressing them as ‘Rampi’, (Raja and Mampi), after their reel characters’ names. Soon, they bagged another project as a pair. Their popularity forced the makers to cast them yet again in ‘Laalkuthi’. Although the show couldn’t cast its spell on TRP charts, Rahul-Rooqma still enjoys a huge fan following who go gaga seeing them together. Their chemistry is so strong that it fueled the rumours of their real-life dating too. However, they are only friends. (Photo: Facebook)

His chemistry with the leading ladies of his show has always been a topic of discussion and fueled to their link up too. In ‘Mon Phagun’, Sean and Srijla Guha made the viewers fall in love with them but Sean’s chemistry with Anamika in ‘Ekhane Akash Neel’ is worth a mention. When the makers announced the conclusion of Ekhane Akash Neel, it created quite a noise. Fans were upset with the news and the channel was flooded with requests from them to continue the show. Bengali viewers have watched the story of a serious guy and happy go-lucky girl innumerable times. But when they saw Koushik as Soujanya, a studious guy who always follows rules and Trina as bubbly Gungun, who is ruled by her heart, in ‘Khorkuto’, there was something special. Their chemistry was an instant hit. The show enjoyed huge popularity and fans couldn’t get enough of ‘Sougun’(Soujanya and Gungun). The duo teamed up for ‘Balijhor’ again but the show had a brief run and ended abruptly. (Photo: Facebook)

Pratik Sen-Sona Moni Saha

‘Mohor’ gave a hit pair to the Bengali audience. Pratik-Sona Moni’s crackling chemistry heavily contributed to Mohor’s success. That’s not all, Leena Ganguly decided to rope in Pratik for ‘Ekka Dokka’ which initially started its journey starring Sona Moni and Saptarshi Maulik as the lead pair, to spice up the entertainment quotient. The show wasn’t scoring well in terms of TRP and to amp up the drama, the makers decided to bring Pratik on board. Sona Moni and Pratik will also be seen in a movie together. (Photo: Facebook)
