Midnight
on Monday,
Sonalee Chaudhuri took to social media and wrote: “Still trembling with fear thinking of what could have happened today. Was faced with a major
accident at Muchipara crossing. By God's grace, me and my chauffeur ( Gopal Da) are both doing fine. But my baby, my new car, which was just over a month old took on the major brunt of the accident. Feeling shattered (sic)”
When we called Sonalee she seemed to be still in shock about the incident. She said, “I bought the car in July and when I saw its condition after the accident, I was in tears. It was a gift to myself. My father is saying that I should thank god that nothing happened to me as the car has an insurance and can be repaired. But still I can’t come to terms with it,” said the actress.
She added, “I was coming back home after the shoot. Around 7.45 pm, a government
bus
came from the back and hit my car and another car hard. Thank god I was not sitting on the left side, otherwise I would have been badly injured. The lady, who was in the other car which got damaged, got injured as she was sitting on the left. I was stunned at the bus driver’s attitude – he was so arrogant. I lodged a complaint at the police station where I mentioned the number plate of the bus too.”
On Tuesday, Sonalee shot a special puja episode for the programme,
Bhojo
Horir Dhaba, which is a comedy show.
