Shubho Bibaho: Drama unfolds as Sudha and Tej face each other at the altar

Sonamoni Saha and Honey Bafna starring ‘Shubho Bibaho’ is gearing up to kickstart a new chapter in the lead pair’s life. As per the current track of the show, Sudha and Tej are to be married. After Kanan Devi, Tej’s grandmother and the matriarch of the family, bestowed Sudha with the priceless heirloom jewellery and announced that she would be the wife of Tej, the wedding preparation started in both the families. Meanwhile, Sudha decided to tell Tej about her past before they stepped into the matrimonial relationship. However, Tej said that he would rather not know about Sudha’s past as that would not change anything.

As the wedding came closer, the secret weighed heavily on Sudha. Sudha vowed to not be dishonest with Tej. But every time she wanted to talk to Tej about her past, something would come in the way. On the very day of the wedding, Sudha is threatened that the truth of her past will come out before Tej at the most crucial moment. On the other hand, Tej receives a letter while standing for his bride to arrive at the altar.

‘Shubho Bibaho’ revolves around the journey of a divorced woman and how she defies the stigma of being a divorcee. On one hand, Sudha, the female protagonist, is a woman who chooses to focus on her professional life after handling a blow in her personal life. As she recovers from a failed marriage, her professional life takes a flight. On the other hand, Tej, the male protagonist, hails from an aristocratic business family. Despite being one of the most eligible bachelors in town, Tej is not that interested in settling down. In his mind, he will agree to marry whoever his family chooses for him. Meanwhile, Kanan Devi, the matriarch of Tej’s family, picks Sudha as the match for her grandson Tej.


‘Shubho Bibaho’ stars Sonamoni Saha as Sudha, as the female protagonist on the show. Honey Bafna is seen as the male lead Tej on the show. Saswati Guhathakurta plays the character of Kanan Devi, the matriarch. Sonamoni was last seen in ‘Ekka Dokka’, after ‘Mohor’, which aired on the same TV channel. On that show, she was paired up with Saptarshi Maulik. On the other hand, Honey Bafna has been a popular face on Bengali TV after working in serials like ‘Bokul Katha’, ‘Prothoma Kadambini’, ‘Sohag Jol’.
