Shruti Das celebrates a special milestone with husband; Shares adorable photos

Shruti Das is in cloud nine and she has every reason to be so. The popular Bengali television actress recently celebrated her parents’ 30th anniversary in April and treated them with a special gift. This month, the actress is marking another special milestone. On May 9, Shruti and her husband Swarnendu Samaddar completed 10 months of being legally married to each other. The actress took to social media to share a bunch of photos with Swarnendu to mark the occasion. Shruti wrote, “Happy 10 months of being officially married to you dear husband @iswarna. 2 months to go.”

Shruti legally got married to Swarnendu in 2023. On July 9, they registered their marriage and held an intimate affair for their close friends and family members. Shruti recently celebrated her parents’ wedding anniversary and gifted them a brand new flat. The actress took to Instagram and shared glimpses of their new abode. Sharing the photos on Instagram, Shruti wrote, “It’s my parents’ 30th wedding anniversary. This year I gifted them what we’ve always dreamt of. ” Tagging her husband, director and producer Swarnendu Samaddar, Shruti thanked him for always being by her side. Shruti also mentioned her parents in the same post and said that, all she does is to make them happy.

Talking to ETimes about this grand gesture, Shruti said, “I am the only child of my parents. I stay in Kolkata for work. They are left behind in Katwa. I don’t like to leave them alone there. I’ve always wanted to stay together and live like a proper family.” Shruti added, “My in-laws are the sweetest people of all. They are the ones who encouraged me to take this step and get my parents a new flat. Now we stay together under the same roof.” Shruti shared, her parents and in-laws are now living in the same building.

Shruti shared with ETimes that she has plans to get married to Swarnendu in a social ceremony. When is that happening? The actress said, “I don’t think we can do it before 2025. At least I am aiming for next year. But I have to think about everyone’s schedule before I finalize the date because I don’t want anyone to miss out on the fun.”
Shruti started her television career in 2019 with the prime-time TV soap ‘Trinayani’. As the female protagonist of the show Nayan, she won the heart of the audience. After ‘Trinayani’, she starred in ‘Desher Maati’ as Noa and ‘Ranga Bou’ as Pakhi. Shruti is awaiting her big screen debut this year with the film ‘Amar Boss’ by Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy, helmed by Windows Production. She will be sharing the screen with veteran actress Rakhee Gulzar in this film. The film is slated to release in June.
