Shayan Mukherjee bags the male lead in ‘Canning Er Minu’

Actor Shayan Mukherjee has bagged yet another daily soap. The ‘Phirki’ fame actor has a new project in his kitty. He will be seen playing the male lead in upcoming television project ‘Canning Er Minu’. Shayan will essay the role of a modern guy who belongs to a rich and influential family. The name of his character is Soumya Ghosal. Senior artist Dipankar De will be seen playing the role of Soumya’s grandfather Mrityunjay Ghosal who was former Chief Minister.

The story revolves around Minu, who works as a house help. She is full of courage and doesn’t hesitate to raise her voice in case of any wrong deed. She is always in the forefront and helps people in crisis. Minu works at Ghosal household and she is quite efficient at what she does.

Mrityunjay, who is unaware of Mitu’s leadership qualities, learns about it when grandson Soumya shows him a viral video which features Minu facing the goons who were after a young couple. She bravely faces the goons, encourages others to stand up against the wrong deed and helps the lovebirds get married as well. After watching the video, Mrityunjay notices the leadership qualities in Minu and starts believing that she will be a perfect representative of common people.

The show will feature ‘Jibon Saathi’ fame Diya Basu as Minu. Shayan will be paired opposite her in the show. The actor started his career as a model and eventually made his debut on television. Shayan has played versatile characters in different TV shows including ‘Irabotir Chupkotha’, ‘Phirki’ and ‘Mom Palok’.
