Sarthak and Koel bond well on Bhai Phonta

Sarthak and Koel bond well on Bhai Phonta
Family dramas on television revolving around joint families usually celebrate all the festivals with much fervour. But this time the Bhai Phonta festivities were not confined to the small screen. Actors who play siblings in popular Bengali shows have developed a special bond off screen as well. We have spoken with Simron Upadhyay and Indranil Chatterjee, who play Koel and Sartha in Ke Apan Ke Por. This year, they had a blast with their new-found siblings on Bhai Phonta. While talking to us, Indranil said, "Sarthak and Koel bond very well on the show. Sarthak always has his sister’s back and tries to save her from all difficulties. I have an elder sister (Monalisa Chatterjee) and it seems that the scriptwriter knows exactly what we share before penning the script. And now, with Simron, I have two real-life sisters. She ties me a rakhi on Rakshabandhan and gives me phonta on Bhai Phonta. Yesterday, I got phonta and gifts from both Monalisa di and Simron."Koel, aka Simron, said, "Indra da is more than an elder brother to me. I really don’t know when our brother-sister bond spread from reel to real life. He takes care of me just the way Sarthak cares for Koel. Another thing they have in common is that they are both pranksters. Their only recreational activity is pulling my leg. I respect and admire Indra da as much as my elder brother, Saket. This year, I gave phonta to both, but they were more interested in the gifts."
