Sairity surprises everyone with her new look in Nishir Daak

, Nishi, is back in action. She disguises herself as a Santhal woman and enters the Chakraborty household to protect the evil spawn growing inside Sreemoyee’s womb. After feeling threatened by Tara’s divine touch that may cause harm to the evil spawn, Nishi decides to sport this new look and pose as a caretaker to gain access in the household and keep Sreemoyee away from Tara.
With Nishi back in the house, what will be Tara and Sreemoyee’s predicament? Nishir Dak narrates the story of the five-year-old abandoned child Tara, played by Guddi, who finds protection in the caring arms of Sreemoyee. Played by Tumpa Ghosh, Sreemoyee’s maternal instincts prompt her to adopt Tara and protect her from any harm.
Unknown to the world, Tara’s fate is eclipsed by the curse of evil spirits. Agharnath, a necromancer, is determined to sacrifice Tara in order to attain

. Making a grand return to the small screen, Sairity Banerjee essays the role of Nishi. Talking to us about her new look in the serial, Sairity said, “I am very excited about this new avatar. I am playing a Santhali girl for the first time. When I came out of the makeup room, my co-stars were not able to recognise me. Even I couldn’t believe it was me. I also had to pick up the native dialect and get my pronunciations right. I am getting a lot of good feedback for my look. Even the plot of the serial is taking a very interesting turn. My look has been planned according to the twist in the show. I hope the audience likes my new avatar.”
So, how long did you take to get the look right? To this, Sairity said, “Every day, I take around two hours to get ready — all with my costume and jewellery. The makeup artists are doing a great job. But the most tedious process is to remove the makeup post my shoot, which takes more than two hours.”
