Rupankar Bagchi's wife Chaitali Bagchi opens up on her husband's controversial remark on singer KK

A day after singer Rupankar Bagchi held a press conference declaring his decision to delete the video that carries controversial remarks on late singer KK, his wife Chaitali has opened up on the issue. While Rupankar chose to 'read out' a written statement in Friday’s press conference, express his ‘deepest condolences' to late singer KK’s family, and not take any questions from the media, Chaitali expressed her view through a poem.The latter wrote a poem on social media.
From the reaction by netizens on Rupankar’s controversial video to alleged threat calls received by the Bagchi family, Chaitali poured her heart out in this poem which she has shared on social media on Saturday. She also mentioned how they, as parents, are worried about their teenage daughter’s safety and wellbeing after this entire episode. In her poem, Chaitali called, social media an ‘adrenaline rush’ which caused their family sleepless nights and ‘terrorised’ them. She went on to call her husband ‘boka’ (silly or naïve) who is busy in his ‘artistic world’ and doesn’t have any idea about the harsh world. In her poem, the ‘Ismart Jodi’ contestant also spoke about, Rupankar’s decision to speak on behalf of his industry colleagues, which wasn’t welcomed by most of his industry peers whose names were taken in the controversial video.

Rupankar expressed his ‘deepest condolences’ and mourned the shocking demise of Bollywood singer KK in yesterday’s press conference. He also claimed that he couldn’t ‘properly express his view’ in the video which led to the controversy.

Meanwhile, many of Rupankar's industry colleagues have strongly reacted to his controversial remark made about KK hours before his shocking demise.
Rupankar’s press conference and his decision to read out a written statement and to not face any questions from the media have also drawn criticism from a section of netizens.
