Ritobrota Dey’s Jhilli looks for her prince charming amidst a busy town in the new show ‘Tetulpata’

One of the most popular Bengali television channels has introduced a Bengali serial to its roster. The new serial ‘Tetulpata’ has premiered on Bengali TV after the conclusion of an old show ‘Tomader Rani’. Gourab Chatterjee has made a comeback to the small screen with the new show. Gourab has been paired up with the ‘Ashtami’ famed actress Ritobrota Dey in the new show.

The new show, that is going on-air from 6 pm every day, has dropped a new promo recently. Ritobrota is seen in a bridal avatar in the new promo. As her character, Jhilli, arrives in a new town – she looks for her prince charming. On the other hand, Gourab’s character, Rishi, comes forward to help her find the address where she is supposed to reach. But Jhilli does not know the address of her prince charming. So she decided to call out his name in hopes of getting a response. But as she calls out her prince charming’s name, a bunch of men bearing the same name turn up. But none of them are the man of Jhilli’s dream. Will she find her prince charming or her life will take another course along with Rishi?

The earlier promo of ‘Tetulpata’ showed Gourab as a lost-in-thought and quiet guy who has boarded a train. As he stood by the door, a girl decked up in bridal wear was seen running to catch the train somehow. Gourab helped the girl board the train and found his way inside the compartment. On the other hand, the girl was seen being extremely chirpy since the moment she boarded the train. From narrating the story behind her bridal look to explaining why she was running away – she did not shut up even for a minute. Incidentally, Gourab and Ritobrota were seated opposite each other. As Ritobrota’s character kept on talking non-stop, Gourab’s character hardly uttered a word. Both of them got off the train at the same station, Gourab’s character Rishi aka ‘Kangsha Mama’ was greeted by three kids and the entire family. On one hand, he was stunned to see the whole family there at the railway station. On the other hand, Ritobrota came running to his arms and they fell on a cart while holding on to each other.

‘Tetulpata’ narrates a story full of sweet and savoury drama, giving it a punch of romantic comedy. The promo of the show has already garnered the attention of the audience, as the netizens have tagged the upcoming show as ‘Jab We Met lite’. Some of them have also found a certain resemblance to ‘Chennai Express’ in Ritobrota’s scene at the railway station. However, whether the story of the new show is similar to both the popular films or not – is yet to be seen.
