Bengali feature film ‘Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti’, directed by debutant filmmaker Aritra Mukherjee is going to have its World Television Premiere on February 14. The film has an ensemble cast and features Ritabhari Chakraborty, Soham Majumdar, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Manasi Sinha, and Subhasish Mukherjee in prominent roles.

Bengali feature film ‘Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti’, directed by debutant filmmaker Aritra Mukherjee is going to have its World Television Premiere on February 14. The film has an ensemble cast and features Ritabhari Chakraborty, Soham Majumdar, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Manasi Sinha, and Subhasish Mukherjee in prominent roles.
The storyline of ‘Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti’ deals with gender-specific roles and equal rights. It revolves around Sharbari.
She is a lecturer and a lady priest. Sharbari grew up seeing her dad performing Hindu rituals and learned it from him. But she faces a lot of hardship to establish herself as a priest in the society where certain roles are mostly performed by men. Notably, the film was screened at Indian Panorama, International Film Festival of India (IFFI), held in Goa.
Ritabhari, who started her career with the hit television show ‘Ogo Bodhu Sundori’ and became an overnight sensation, earned praises for her performance in the film. After a successful stint in Bengali television, the actress is busy with her films and other endorsements.
Besides ‘Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti’, a number of other TV shows are set to entertain Bengali audience on Valentine’s Day. All the leading channels are trying hard to woo the audience with their special offerings. While daily soaps like ‘Bhaggolokkhi’, ‘Jamuna Dhaki’ will air special episodes keeping 14th February in mind, non-fiction shows like ‘Didi No. 1’ will also air interesting episodes to make the upcoming weekend a gala one.
