Leading Bengali television channels are at loggerheads to woo the audience and hook them with a mixed platter of entertainment. From daily soaps featuring hit television jodis (Bangla Medium starring Neel Bhattacharya and Tiyasha Roy), family drama starring popular actors, game show (hosted by Indrani Halder) to reality series, a whole lot of entertainment is ready to impress the audience.
While the channel launching Pallavi Sharma and Rubel Das starrer ‘Nim Phuler Modhu’ and ‘Sohag Jol’, featuring Sweta Bhattacharya and Honey Bafna is ready to take the entertainment quotient to the top level by bringing back veteran artist
Mithun Chakraborty as a judge in its upcoming offering ‘
Dance Bangla Dance’, another rival channel will soon launch its popular music reality series. ‘Super Singer’, which entertained the audience with its third season, will be back on the small screen soon with its brand new audition.
The auditions for the fourth season are currently taking place and the team is busy finding out talented singers to bring them on the stage of ‘Super Singer’.
Interestingly, while the channel launching ‘Dance Bangla Dance Season 12’ is ready to bring back Mahaguru Mithun Chakraborty after almost 12 years, ‘Super Singer Season 4’ also has some surprises in store.
The music reality show, which featured Sonu Nigam, Kumar Sanu and Koushiki Chakraborty as the esteemed judges and occasionally welcomed Bollywood singer-composer Anu Malik as a guest judge, will have a star-studded affair in its upcoming season too. The makers are keen on bringing
Sonu Nigam back as the judge. The ace singer, who was pleased to be a part of the previous season of the reality show, is also keen on joining the team if his busy schedule permits. Jisshu U Sengupta is likely to continue his duty as a host too.
Last season, contestant Shuchismita Chakraborty won the title. Manasi Ghosh won the second spot. Kumar Gourab and Pranay Majumder jointly bagged the third prize. It will be interesting to see what ‘Super Singer Season 4’ has to offer.
