“I am really excited about

Rajnandini

’s release. It’s my debut Hindi film. As an artist, I have always wanted to explore new horizons and it was my earnest wish to work in a Hindi movie. So, when I got the offer, I readily said yes,” says Debleena.

The viewers will see her in an interesting role. “Rajnandini’s character is really close to my heart because she is a dancer. I am a dancer, too, and thoroughly enjoyed portraying the character in the movie. Working with Sudhir Da was a great experience. Not always we find a comfort zone and compatibility while working with a production house but Sudhir Da and his team made me feel very comfortable. It never appeared that it was my first project with them.”

Interestingly, the character played by Debleena in TV show ‘Trishul Teen Shaktir Aadhar’, is also ‘Rajnandini’. Speaking about the coincidence, she says, “Yes, it’s a beautiful coincidence. Although I got the movie offer much prior to the television serial, I find it really sweet. Rajnandini’s character in Teen Shaktir Aadhar is loved by the audience and I love playing the character in the TV show.”

The actress has been striking a fine balance between her television projects and movies. Speaking about the same, she says, “I never feel the pressure or see it as a hectic schedule. I simply love acting.”

The Hindi movie is ready for its premiere while the Bengali one will have its theatrical release later this year. Sudhir Dutta wrote the story and composed the music too.

The century old king’s mansion in Kishangunj has a sordid history of betrayal, lust, greed, hate and death.
