Get ready to welcome yet another new Bengali television show. For the past few weeks, rumours were rife that hit Bengali daily soap ‘Tomay Amay Mile’ is going to entertain the viewers with its second season. That’s not all, reports also suggested that Jisshu U Sengupta and Nilanjana are going to produce the show.
Well, the very first glimpse of upcoming television drama ‘Horo Gourir Pice Hotel’, starring Rahul Mazumdar and Suvosmita Mukherjee, has indeed tickled the memories of the hit soap opera ‘Tomay Amay Mile’ which successfully ran for three years. The promo featuring a modern girl, who is now the daughter-in-law of a big household, and a guy who runs a pice hotel, took the audience on a nostalgic trip. The Bengali remake of Hindi show ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, featured Roosha Chatterjee and Riju Biswas as the lead. It was an instant hit and Bengali viewers simply fell in love with the story that revolved around Ushasi, an aspiring IPS officer and Nitin, a sweet seller. Riju and Roosha’s chemistry was hit too. However, later, Gourab Roy Chowdhury replaced Riju in the show.
The makers are however, promising that 'Horo Gourir Pice Hotel' will be different from 'Tomay Amay Mile'.
With this, Jisshu and Nilanjana, are making a comeback as producers. Their production house has produced many popular shows including ‘Adwitiyo’ which also starred Jisshu besides Ditipriya Roy and Sohom Roychowdhury.
Speaking about Rahul, the popular actor was last seen in ‘Khukumoni Home Delivery’, playing the male lead. He made his television debut with ‘Debi Choudhurani’ which made him a household name. Suvosmita, on the other hand, has also done OTT projects prior to this.
