Sunil Gangopadhyay’s ‘Kakababu’ series is an essential part of childhood nostalgia. Former director of the Archaeological Survey of India, Raja Roy Chowdhury, popularly known as Kakababu, accompanied by Sontu and Jojo’s adventure-mysteries kept the readers glued to the pages with crisp storytelling. Kakababu’s zeal to unfold the truth and Sontu’s bravery made the readers fall in love with the uncle and nephew duo.
Well, to bring back the nostalgia, Bumba Da aka
Prosenjit Chatterjee and
Aryann Bhowmik starrer film ‘
Yeti Obhijaan
’, is all set to air today (April 22) during the lockdown. The film is a sequel to ‘
Mishawr Rawhoshyo
’.
Srijit Mukherjee
directed the film which was released in 2017.
This time, Kakababu and Sontu will unravel the mystery of Yeti. They will explore Gorokhshep plateau, in Nepal to know the truth behind mysterious giant Yeti. The film was shot in the beautiful locations of Nepal which is certainly a visual treat. The film did well at the box office.
Besides 'Yeti Obhijaan', another leading Bengali television channel will air Bengali movie ‘Bidroho’, starring the hit jodi Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta. The film also stars Ranjeet Millick, Anil Chatterjee,
Tarun Kumar and others.
Amid the lockdown, the Bengali channels are offering new entertainment bouquet to woo the audience. While some Bengali television channels are airing recently released films to catch the young audience along with adult viewers some are airing animation shows in the morning to woo the kids and old classics in the matinee show to entertain the adults.
