‘Phulki’ packs a punch, earns the top spot in the rating chart

The rating chart for the 23rd week of 2024 is here. Despite the consistent decline in ratings, team ‘Phulki’ has managed to hold on to the numero spot on this week’s rating chart as well.

‘Phulki’, which narrates the journey of a female boxer and how she navigates the ups and downs in her life trained by her mentor and emerges victorious, has earned the top spot on the rating list this week too. Not just that, the popular Bengali television daily completed a year of its run this week. So, celebrations for team ‘Phulki’ are on the cards. ‘Phulki’ stars actress Divyani Mondal in the titular role. The ‘Netaji’ fame actor Abhishek Bose plays the character of the male protagonist, Rohit. Actress Sharly Modak and actor Sudip Sarkar play the roles of the antagonists on the show. The show is currently dealing with the tug of war between Rohit and Rudra, with Phulki trying to absolve Rohit of the false allegations he has had against him in the past.

‘Neem Phooler Madhu’ has held on to the second position on this week’s rating chart. The popular Bengali TV show tells the story of a modern girl getting married into an orthodox family. Parna (female protagonist) and Srijan (male protagonist) get married in an arranged marriage setting and Parna finds it difficult to gel with her in-laws. The popular Bengali show recently took a five-year leap in its storyline and introduced Srijan and Parna’s daughter Sriparna to the show. According to the current track of the show, Parna has lost her memories of the last ten years due to a fatal accident. She is now trying to readjust her life to the current timeline.

‘Kothha’ has yet again managed to come up to the third position on the rating chart. ‘Kothha’ narrates the story of a girl who is soft and caring at the core and is fond of trees. Kotha finds an innate connection with plants and due to her affinity toward the greens, she is known as ‘Miss Gobor Devi’. On the other hand, the male protagonist Agniva aka AV is someone who doesn’t have a cordial relationship with his family members. Kothha and AV’s paths converge as they get married to each other despite their differences. ‘Kothha’ stars Susmita Dey and Saheb Bhattacherjee as the lead pair of the show.

‘Jagaddhatri’ and ‘Kon Gopone Mon Bhesheche’ have jointly earned the fourth position on the list. ‘Jagaddhatri’, The Ankita Mullick and Soumyadeep Mukherjee starrer show, once used to rule the rating charts, has been struggling to stay within the top five shows now.

‘Kon Gopone Mon Bhesheche’ stars Shweta Bhattacharya and Ranojoy Bishnu in the lead roles. The show essays the journey of Shyamoli, a small-town woman. Shaymali crosses paths with Aniket, an entrepreneur in a big city. Aniket goes out of his way to help her. Soon, their relationship grows into a stronger bond.

‘Geeta LLB’ has slipped down to the fifth position on the rating chart this week. ‘Geeta LLB’ essays the story of an ambitious lawyer named Geeta Ganguly from a middle-class family who strives to become successful as a lawyer and aspires to make a mark in the male-dominated field. The show stars Hiya Mukherjee as Geeta and Kunal Shil as Swastik Mukherjee, Geeta’s husband.
