Period-drama ‘Rani Rashmoni’ crosses 700 episodes

It’s celebration time for team ‘Rani Rashmoni’ indeed. The period-drama, which turned to be an instant hit among the viewers, has crossed 700 episodes recently. The entire cast and crew celebrated the occasion on the sets of the show. A special cake was bought to celebrate the achievement.
The show ‘Rani Rashmoni’, starring teenager Ditipriya Roy in the titular role, has been scoring well on the TRP charts since its launch.Though, it has slipped a bit on the TRP charts and is seen on 4th or 5th position since past few weeks, was mostly seen in the top positions. Thanks to the strong script, compelling storytelling, power-packed acting from the artists, the daily soap has made a special place in the hearts of the audience.
While Ditipriya in the lead role is marvellous, Gazi Abdun Noor (was seen playing Rajchandra Das), Suchandra Banerjee (as Sukumari), Diya Chakraborty (as Padma), Oindrila Saha (was seen as Karuramoyee) and Sampurna Mondal (playing Jagadamba prior to actress Roshni Bhattacharyya), Samata Das (was playing Jogomaya) and Taniya Kar (was playing Anandamoyee) and others are worth mentioning.
The storyline has gone through a time leap and a number of above mentioned characters are not a part of the show. A fresh cast has been introduced to the show, which includes Sayak Chakraborty, Alokananda Guha, Roshni Bhattacharyya (playing Jagadamba) and others. The new track is yet to strike a chord with the audience as the show has lost its position on the TRP charts.
