Noa of Desher Maati tests positive for COVID, in home quarantine

After Bharat Kaul, who tested positive for COVID-19 last week, Sruti Das, aka Noa – the lead of Desher Maati – has become the latest Bengali TV actor to contract the virus. Sruti, who is now in home quarantine and under medication after video consultation, told us, “On April 2, when I was served coffee on set, I could not smell it. I immediately raised an alarm, isolated myself and got the test done.My ongoing scene was shot outside the main shooting space with only the DOP and director present at a distance. After that I was immediately sent back home and got my positive report the next day.”
Sruti doesn’t have any sense of smell or taste till now. “I am very weak and have a cough. I know I will have to give it some more time before I get back on the floors with a bang. My fiance Swarnendu Samaddar has been a great help throughout. While he cannot be there by my side, he has been a constant help. I am sure I’ll be better soon,” she added.
