Newbie ‘Debi Choudhurani’ and ‘Tekka Raja Badshah’ to face tough competition next week
Two leading Bengali entertainment television channels which lock their horns to top the TRP charts, are gearing up for the next week.
While one of them is going to launch two brand new serials, ‘Tekka Raja Badshah’ and ‘Debi Choudhurani’, on 16th July, the other is planning to introduce new twists to telecast in it's on-going serials.
According to the reports, the two channels generally launch new television serials back to back keeping their contest alive.
Just like what happened when one of them launched ‘Om Namah Sivaya’ and the other launched the family drama ‘Krishnokali’ on the same day.
But this time, the other leading Bengali television channel is not going to launch a new show next week. Rather, it wants to bank on the on-going serials.
According to the reports, all the serials, which are telecasted in between 5:30 to 8 pm, - ‘Joy Baba Loknath’, ‘Rani Rashmoni’, ‘Krishnakoli’ , and ‘Saat Bhai Champa’ will spice up its episodes with new twists.
Interestingly, ‘Tekka Raja Badshah’ will premiere at 6.30 pm while ‘Debi Choudhurani’ will be aired at 8 pm. And the current show, ‘Gopal Bhar’ will be aired at 5.30 pm instead of 8 pm. Apparently, the channels are getting ready to fight it out keeping the time slots of the serials in mind.

According to the reports, ‘Joy Baba Loknath’ will telecast a ‘Ratha Yatra’ special episode. On the other hand, in the serial ‘Rani Rashmoni’, Rashmoni (Ditipriya Roy) will protest against the white men, who abuse innocent native people.
The recently launched family-drama ‘Krishnakoli’ will show a high voltage drama where the central character Shyama (Tiyasha Ray), who accidentally got married to Nikhil (Neel Bhattacharya), will enter her in-law’s home.
Similarly, in ‘Saat Bhai Champa’, Parul (Promita Chakraborty) will turn into a stone.
On the other hand, ‘Tekka Raja Badshah’ is a comedy drama and ‘Debi Choudhurany’ is based on Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay’s famous novel 'Debi Choudhurani'.
It will be interesting to watch which channel scores well on the TRP charts next week.
