Actor Neil Chatterjee is one of the well-known faces on Bengali TV. The actor has worked in popular Bengali dailies like ‘Bokul Katha’, ‘Trinayani’, ‘Netaji’, ‘Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni’, ‘Mithai’. The ‘Khelna Bari’ fame actor is only a decade old in the Bengali TV industry and so far he has worked in more than 20 mega serials. Neil is adding another feather to his cap. The actor is joining the cast of another popular Bengali TV show ‘Sohag Chand’ as Arna Basu. According to the storyline, Arna Basu, Khowai’s ex-husband, is depicted as a quiet and soft-spoken individual who works at a private firm. However, his constant doubtful gaze towards Khowai has made her life distressing. Their relationship often faced turmoil due to Arna’s suspicions whenever Khowai interacted with other men or worked outside their home. Additionally, Arna’s struggles with OCD add layers to his character. Now, after a prolonged absence, he re-emerges with a bold demand—he wants custody of their daughter, Kopai.
Neil Chatterjee is the son of Tollywood director Iman Kalyan Chatterjee. Neil faced the camera for the first time as a child artist in one of his father’s films in 1997.
As the son of a well-known film director, Neil grew up dreaming of becoming an actor. But tragedy struck when his father, Iman Kalyan passed away in 2004. Neil was entirely detached from the Tollywood industry at that time. As per his mother’s wishes, Neil completed his studies and then ventured into acting around 2011. According to Neil, he started from scratch and got his first break in 2014.
