‘Neem Phooler Madhu’ and ‘Phulki’ tie for the top spot; ‘Shubho Bibaho’ earns a place in the top 3

The rating chart for the 29th week of 2024 is out. With two popular mega serials tying for the numero spot, this week’s rating chart has another pleasant surprise in store.
Keeping up with its run of being the topper of the last two weeks, ‘Phulki’ has yet again secured the top spot on this week’s rating chart. However, this week, ‘Phulki’ is tied with its consistent rival ‘Neem Phooler Madhu’ for the top spot.

‘Phulki’ narrates the journey of a female boxer and how she navigates the ups and downs in her life trained by her mentor and emerges victorious. The popular Bengali television daily completed a year of its run a month ago. ‘Phulki’ stars actress Divyani Mondal in the titular role. The ‘Netaji’ fame actor Abhishek Bose plays the character of the male protagonist, Rohit. Actress Sharly Modak and actor Sudip Sarkar play the roles of the antagonists on the show.
On the other hand, ‘Neem Phooler Madhu’ tells the story of a modern girl getting married into an orthodox family. Parna (female protagonist) and Srijan (male protagonist) get married in an arranged marriage setting and Parna finds it difficult to gel with her in-laws. The popular Bengali show took a five-year leap in its storyline earlier this year and introduced Srijan and Parna’s daughter Sriparna to the show. Not just that, the show has introduced a twist in its storyline after Parna’s memory loss.

With a solid surprise, ‘Shubho Bibaho’ has earned the second spot on this week’s rating chart. The newly launched show starring Sonamoni Saha and Honey Bafna revolves around the journey of a divorced woman and how she defies the stigma of being a divorcee. Sudha, the female protagonist, is a woman who chooses to focus on her professional life after handling a blow in her personal life. Tej, the male protagonist, hailing from an aristocratic business family, is not that interested to settle down. Their paths cross with each other and ‘Shubho Bibaho’ portrays the journey they share.

With a good boost in its storyline, ‘Kothha’ has managed to secure the third spot on this week’s rating chart. ‘Kothha’ narrates the story of a girl who is soft and caring at the core and is fond of trees. Kotha finds an innate connection with plants and due to her affinity toward the greens, she is known as ‘Miss Gobor Devi’. On the other hand, the male protagonist Agniva aka AV is someone who doesn’t have a cordial relationship with his family members. Kothha and AV’s paths converge as they get married to each other despite their differences. ‘Kothha’ stars Susmita Dey and Saheb Bhattacherjee as the lead pair of the show.
For the fourth spot, ‘Kon Gopone Mon Bhesheche’ has tied with ‘Roshnai’. This week’s rating chart brings good news for the Sean Banerjee and Anushka Goswami starrer show with the improved rating.
‘Kon Gopone Mon Bhesheche’ which stars Shweta Bhattacharya and Ranojoy Bishnu in the lead roles is currently witnessing the tug-of-war between Aniket and Mandar over Shyamoli. The show essays the journey of Shyamoli, a small-town woman. Shaymoli crosses paths with Aniket, an entrepreneur in a big city. Aniket goes out of his way to help her. Soon, their relationship grows into a stronger bond. The show is currently navigating its way through the triangle of Aniket, Shyamoli and Aniket’s former love interest Ahana’s equation.

On the other hand, ‘Roshnai’ revolves around a dancing protégé named Roshnai, hailing from Banaras. Roshnai inherits her talent in dancing from her mother Sudarshana. Sean Banerjee plays the character of the male protagonist, Aranyak, in ‘Roshnai’.
Pratik Sen and Ratnapriya Das starrer ‘Uraan’ has managed to find its place on the fifth spot on this week’s rating chart. The Bengali television show tells the story of Maharaj and Pujarini – who are polar opposites of each other, and are brought together by the magic of destiny.
