Neel Bhattacharya and Shyamoupti Mudly’s ‘Amor Songi’ to be a matinee show?

Neel Bhattacharya is set to return to the small screen with his new show. The popular face of the Bengali entertainment industry is making a comeback to Bengali television after his tryst on the web platform. The ‘Krishnakoli’ famed actor will be seen as the male lead in the brand new serial, ‘Amor Songi’. ‘Amor Songi’ will be premiering on one of the most popular Bengali TV channels soon. ‘Guddi’ famed actress Shyamoupti Mudly will be seen sharing the screen with Neel in the upcoming show. The promo for the new show has already earned positive reviews. However, the channel is yet to announce the time slot for ‘Amor Songi’. As per sources, the new offering of the channel is going to be premiered as a matinee show.

As per the sources, ‘Amor Songi’ will be premiering in the first week of August, from 2.30 pm on the channel. However, the respective channel is yet to confirm the time slot for the new show.

As per the promo of the show, Neel’s character Raj is seen driving his girlfriend Shree, played by Shyamoupti, in a luxurious car. The couple arrives at a scenic place in the city and it starts raining all of a sudden. Shree ditches the umbrella and gets drenched in the rain along with Raj.

In another scene, Raj is seen folding his clothes as he is about to return them to the one he borrowed them from. Raj is asked, for how long he will continue impressing his girlfriend with borrowed luxury. Will Shree stay by Raj’s side when she gets to know about his financial status? Raj says that he will love Shree so much that she will not focus on anything else apart from that. Shree arrives at Raj’s place right at this point and asks him if he loved her, why he lied to her.

Will this lie be the dealbreaker between Raj and Shree?
‘Amor Songi’ will be narrating the story of love beyond all means.

Neel, who rose to fame while playing the male lead on ‘Krishnakoli’, won hearts with his on-screen pairing with Tiyasa Lepcha, who played the female lead. Their on-screen chemistry was so popular that both the actors were cast in another serial ‘Bangla Medium’. The serial concluded recently. In between television projects, Neel has been keeping busy with his web shows as well. The actor has web series like ‘Boka Bakshote Bondi’, ‘Milkshake Murders’ to his credit. After a few shows on OTT platforms, Neel is back to television and he is excited for his upcoming project. Neel expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying, “I am very excited about the project! As iconic as the name, so is the story. Hope I can do justice to the character.”
On the other hand, Shyamoupti Mudly, who has worked on shows like ‘Bajlo Tomar Alor Benu’, ‘Dhrubotara’, is one of the well-known faces of Bengali TV. The actress was last seen on ‘Guddi’. The serial concluded last year. After ‘Guddi’ was wrapped, Shyamoupti has not been seen on any mega serial. However, after a long gap, Shyamoupti is coming back to grace the small screen.

‘Amor Songi’ has borrowed its name from the popular film of Tollywood superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee. Starring Prosenjit and Vijayeta Pandit, the 1987 film had earned a ‘cult’ status owing to its huge popularity.
