Renowned actor, director and screenplay writer Satish Kaushik’s sudden demise has brought a wave of shock among his friends and peers from film fraternity and numerous fans. The 66-year-old actor reportedly suffered a heart attack while travelling by his car. The shocking news was later confirmed by his old friend and noted actor Anupam Kher, who shared an emotional note on social media grieving the loss of his friend whom he knew for 45 long years.

Ever since the news came to light, many artists from Bollywood and other entertainment industries have expressed their shock and deepest grieve over the loss. Singer Monali Thakur too was in crude shock when she received the news today morning. Like many, she couldn’t believe the news. Later, she shared a note on social media expressing her deepest condolences.

Monali, who is currently busy with the shooting of Bengali reality show ‘Super Singer Season 4’ as a judge, remembered the late actor and her co-star from movie ‘Lakshmi’. Released in 2014, the Bollywood movie was written and directed by Nagesh Kukunoor and featured Monali, Shefali Shah, Ram Kapoor, Satish Kaushik. Monali took a walk down the memory lane as she remembered old memories. Sharing a photo from the promotional event of the movie, Monali wrote, ‘This is such sad news…
.. So sudden.. RIP Satishji.. this is so sad…’

Speaking about Satish Kaushik, the actor was a part of many movies including ‘Mr. India’, ‘Deewana Mastana’, ‘Udta Punjab’, Sarah Gavron's British film ‘Brick Lane’ to name a few. He was known for his passion for acting, perfect comic timing and sense of humour. He had a strong theatre background. Actor Satish Kaushik was also a part of TV shows, 'Katha Sagar', 'The Great Indian Family Drama' and others. The noted actor had won FilmFare Best Comedian Award twice.
