The tale of the hero or heroine’s sudden death and appearance of their look-alikes aren’t new in the world of daily soaps. In the past few years, Indian television audiences have seen the tried and tested formula in different serials, irrespective of languages. It seems the makers of ‘Mon Phagun’ have kept their fate in this formula aiming at good TRP in the coming weeks.

According to the latest track, antagonist Rohan hatches a conspiracy to kill Rishiraj for the latter’s property and attacks him. While Rishiraj’s family and his wife Pihu fail to accept his death, a guy who just looks like him (Rishiraj) makes an appearance. Holding the hand of the newly added twist, Truck driver Romeo, makes a dashing appearance in the show. That’s not all, destiny brings him to Miss Brishtibari as well. They kept meeting frequently under different circumstances. After adding this twist, the makers are now ready to take the drama a level higher. Pihu eventually becomes curious about Romeo, who is rustic and street smart unlike calm and composed Rishiraj. She decides to dig into Romeo’s past and find out his identity. She disguises herself as a flower girl and reaches Romeo’s village. Pihu finds out that Netra, a village belle who she had met earlier, lives in the same area and is familiar with Romeo too. Interestingly, Netra has a soft former for Romeo, who reminds Pihu of her late husband. Along with the tale of look-alikes, ‘Mon Phagun’ will also dish out some major drama revolving around the tangled story of relationships.
Notably, ‘Mon Phagun’ hasn’t been scoring well in terms of TRPs compared to its old track record. And the makers aren’t ready to lose anymore and have been adding new twists to the story.
Mon Phagun features Sean Banerjee as Rishiraj, Srijla Guha essays Pihu’s role. Actress Roshni Tanwi Bhattacharya is playing Netra’s character while Samm Bhattacharya essays Rohan’s character.
