The Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee is gracing the stage of a popular Bengali reality show Didi No. 1 along with Dona Ganguly, Sreeradha Bandyopadhyay, and Arundhati Holme Chowdhury. When asked by the host Rachana Banerjee, Didi revealed a few incidents from her childhood.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is all set to appear on one of Bengal’s most popular reality shows named Didi No.
1. Hosted by actress Rachana Banerjee, Didi No. 1 is Bengali television’s top-rated game show where women from all over Bengal take part and play some fun games. Recently Mamata Banerjee, also known as Didi among her followers and peers, has shot for an episode of the reality show. During the show, Rachana asked Didi about her childhood and how she grew up. Sitting on a wooden chair, the Bengal CM revealed with a sigh, “My childhood was lost a long time back.”

When Rachana asked the CM about her childhood memories, Didi answered, “My father passed away when I was just a child. I had to take full responsibility for my family. I was only a girl of 10-11 years old then. I remember I used to wake up at 3 in the morning, cook for the family, and then used to be ready for school. My childhood was lost way back.”

Last week, Mamata Banerjee shot for the Didi No. 1 episode along with dancer and Sourav Ganguly’s wife Dona Ganguly, and veteran singers Sreeradha Bandyopadhyay and Arundhati Holme Chowdhury.
