Mala Bodol: Diti reveals the truth to Gobindo

‘Mala Bodol’ is set to witness the much-awaited twist in its storyline. As per the current track of the story, Kabyo’s bride-to-be Shiuli has run away from the wedding venue and Diti has been accused by Bhabani Mullick. In this situation, Gobindo has picked Diti as his son’s bride.

When Bhabani Mullick decided to get her son married, she reached out to Diti, the matchmaker and asked to find a suitable match for Kabyo. Diti agreed to take the responsibility of finding Kabyo’s bride after her initial reluctance. After much coaxing from his family members and especially his mother, Kabyo gave in and agreed to the marriage.

On the day of the wedding, Kabyo arrived at the venue along with his groom’s squad. However, Diti’s sister Tumpa brainwashed Shiuli into believing that Diti was actually planning to marry Kabyo herself. Shiuli, who already was a bit sceptical about the wedding, decided to flee the venue. Diti got to know about the runaway bride but could not find her anywhere. Meanwhile, Bhabani got to know about the runaway bride and arrived at the venue. Out of anger and frustration, Bhabani slapped Diti in front of everyone.

Meanwhile, while everyone in the Mullick family was thinking about ways to salvage the situation, Gobindo, Kabyo’s father, picked his son’s bride right away. Gobindo asked Diti to take him to her house and once they reached there, Gobindo asked Diti’s parents’ permission to make Diti his daughter-in-law.

While Diti was sceptical, Diti’s father and foster mother agreed to Gobindo’s proposal. However, Diti was adamant and told Gobindo that she would not start a relationship with a lie. Diti told Gobindo about her birth mother. Diti also told him that she would only marry Kabyo if they accepted her after knowing the truth about her.

Gobindo agreed to Diti’s terms and took her back to the wedding venue and announced that Diti would be Kabyo’s bride. Bhabani strongly opposed Gobindo's decision. However, there was one more trick up on Gobindo’s sleeves.

Will Diti end up marrying Kabyo?

‘Mala Bodol’ revolves around the journey of the lead pair – one of them is a matchmaker, and the other person is a divorce lawyer. 'Malabodol' narrates the story of Ditipriya Ghatak, affectionately known as Diti, played by Ritu Pyne. Diti is a lively, passionate matchmaker for whom matchmaking is a deeply personal passion, a legacy inherited from her renowned matchmaker father. Embracing her role as the beloved 'Ghatok Didi,' Diti's life takes a dramatic turn when she is compelled to marry divorce lawyer Kabyo Mullick, portrayed by Biswajit Ghosh. Kabyo's scepticism towards relationships starkly contrasts with Diti's unwavering belief in love, leading to an unexpected and loveless marriage that complicates her journey. Will Diti be able to navigate these complexities and find her perfect match?

‘Mala Bodol’ is directed by Swarnendu Samaddar. The upcoming Bengali serial stars Biswajit Ghosh as the male protagonist. Biswajit was last seen on ‘Khela Bari’ opposite Aratrika Maity. On the other hand, Ritu Pyne will be seen as the female protagonist of the show. This is Ritu’s first gig in a lead role.
