Maid who robbed actress of 10 lakh, nabbed

Sabita Mondal Sil, Rachana Banerjee's domestic help, was arrested from Kalna in Burdwan on Monday for being involved in a Rs 10-lakh theft at the actress's residence in south Kolkata.
The same day , a burglary was reported from an electronics goods store in Kasba. The police said the Kalna police helped the team at the Lake police station to pick up Sabita's aide, Sundar.“We have arrested the maid, Sabita (30), and recovered most of the stolen booty — cash and gold ornaments — worth Rs 10 lakh from her. Only a gold chain of Rachana is yet to be recovered. Sundar even tried to deposit Rs 2 lakh, which Sabita passed on to him, in a bank. We are yet to arrest him," said JCP (crime) Pallab Kanti Ghosh.
