Bengali television has a number of culinary shows which celebrates the eternal love affair between ‘Bhojon rosik ‘ (foodie) Bangali and food. And Rupsha Chakraborty hosted ‘Radhuni’ is one of them. The cookery show, which welcomes professional chefs, cooking enthusiasts as well as celebrity guests, is ready for a pleasant surprise. Actresses Lopamudra Sinha and Sritama Bhattacharjee will step into the shoes of hosts.
On April 7, ‘Radhuni’ will air a special episode on the occasion of ‘World Health Day’. And along with the special episode, ‘Radhuni’ will introduce the audience with the new hosts. Directed by Pompi Mukherjee, the culinary show enjoys a good fan base and is ready to start a new journey with the hosts.
Bengali audiences are already familiar with Lopamudra and Sritama. Both the actresses have hosted TV shows prior to this besides entertaining the audience in television serials.
Lopamudra will be seen hosting a TV show after a long time. The actress, who is currently playing a meaty role in TV show ‘Mithai’, had hosted a number of popular non-fiction shows earlier. ‘Olpo Gaaner Golpo’, ‘Rojgere Ginni’ and ‘Cholo Jai’ featured her as the host. The actress, who has worked under Pompi’s direction, is happy to host a non-fiction show yet again.
On the other hand, Sritama is one of the most popular faces of Bengali TV. ‘Maa.. Tomay Chara Ghum Asena’ made her a household name. Later, she did a number of other shows including ‘Debi Choudhurani’, ‘Ichche Nodee’ and others. Sritama recently joined active politics too.
