‘Krishnakoli’ scores well on the TRP charts

Krishnakoli

’ has been scoring well on the

TRP

charts. But for the past three weeks, the show has consistently topped the chart. The show has actor

Neel Bhattacharya

and newcomer

Tiyasha Ray

in the leads.

But other than performances, the script and music played a major role in this success, according to the cast and crew of the team. The story revolves around a village belle named Shyama (Tiyasha), who has to face a lot of humiliation due to her dusky skin tone. Following the drama of Shyama incidentally getting married to a rich and handsome guy Nikhil (Neel) has glued the audience.

Actress Sarbori Mukherjee, who is playing the character Rukmini, said, “Unfortunately, we still have a fetish for fairer skin which should be stopped immediately. I am glad that people have started accepting Shyama with her dusky skin tone. The serial is consistently scoring well. Other than our hard work, the story and the usage of the music play a big role behind the success.”

The songs have been sung by popular singer Aditi Munshi.

Sarbori also informed that the usage of ‘Keertan’ and folk music have been loved by the audience.
