Krishnakoli completes 700 episodes

Bengali television serial ‘Krishnakoli’, narrating Shyama and Nikhil’s story, has completed 700 episodes. It is one of the most successful shows on Bengali television which consistently scores well on the TRP charts. The daily soap dominated the numero uno spot on the TRP charts for almost 37 weeks at a stretch.
The success of completing 700 episodes certainly calls for celebration though the party is due until Neel Bhattacharya and Vivaan Ghosh join the team.They are in home quarantine after testing positive for COVID.
Krishnakoli was launched in 2018 and it was a smash hit. The story revolves around village belle Shyama, who is a talented Keertaniya, but has to face abuse due to her dusky skin tone. She gets married to handsome and rich Nikhil following some twists. Initially, her mother-in-law doesn’t accept Shyama but she gradually wins everyone’s heart. Shyama’s innocence managed to strike a chord with the audience right after its launch.
Actress Tiyasha Roy made her debut with the show and became a household name almost overnight. Tiyasha and Neel’s reel jodi is certainly one of the USPs of ‘Krishnakoli’ apart from the gripping twists in the storyline.
The show features Shankar Chakraborty, Nibedita Mukherjee, Rimjhim Mitra, Priyanka Haldar, Koushik Bhattacharya, Sanjib Sarkar, Sarbori Mukherjee and many others. Rimjhim is playing a negative role.
