Koneenica is expecting her first child

Speculation was rife since Koneenica Banerjee quit the popular megaserial,

Andarmahal

. While playing the lead, Parameshwari, she had apparently sought leave that did not go down well with the makers and the serial was eventually taken off air. In the serial she played an uneducated woman who was married into traditional household and became mother to a step-daughter. The actress later admitted that she wanted to work post marriage and since her situation in life was somewhat similar, she immediately gave her nod to it.

could not continue doing the serial as it demanded a lot of her time, and decided to concentrate on films instead. Now as her upcoming film is set to hit the screens, turns out Koneenica is pregnant. The actress shared the good news with us, “Yes, I am

pregnant

and happen to be in my second trimester. Right now, the baby is the focal point of our existence.” In 2017, Koneenica married Surajit Hari, who has a son from his previous marriage. Always open about herself, Koneenica has admitted to playing multiple roles in her life.
