Koel Mallick starrer thriller movie ‘Flyover’ to have its OTT premiere

Abhimanyu Mukherjee directed ‘Flyover’, which is ready for its premiere on a popular Bengali OTT platform. It’s a thriller movie, starring Tollywood’s leading lady Koel Mallick playing a journo. The movie, which originally had its theatre release in April, 2021, has an ensemble star cast that includes artists Gourab Chakraborty, Ravi Shaw, Shantilal Mukherjee, Koushik Roy, Poulomi Das among others.
The thriller narrates the story of a journo named Bidisha, who is working on a story regarding traffic rule violations causing fatal road accidents.She starts digging out the reason behind recent accidents on a particular flyover and discovers some shocking truths. Things take a drastic turn when Bidisha becomes the prime suspect in a murder. While Koel essayed Bidisha’s character, Ravi was paired opposite her. This movie marks Ravi’s silver screen debut. Prior to this, he was mostly seen in daily soaps.
‘Flyover’, which is ready to have its OTT premiere on June 23, is the remake of a Kannada movie. Starring actors Shraddha Srinath, Roger Narayan, Radhika Chetan and Dileep Raj in prominent roles, the original Kannada flick, ‘U Turn’ was a hit. The movie was released in theatres in 2016 and tasted success in terms of box office collection.
