Prosenjit Chatterjee has always expressed his admiration towards Mahanayak
Uttam Kumar. In a special episode of ‘

’, the actor has paid a special tribute to Uttam Kumar.
Today (April 24) is Uttam Kumar’s death anniversary. The makers of the game show decided to dedicate a special episode to Mahanayak. The recently launched game show is the Bengali version of ‘
Kaun Banega Crorepati
’, which was hosted by
Amitabh Bachchan.
The shoot for this episode has already been done. Prosenjit will be seen sharing about his fond memories with Uttam Kumar in the episode. On the sets, Bumba Da apparently went emotional during the shoot as he spoke about the 'Mahanayak'.
Interestingly, he used to address Uttam Kumar as ‘Uttam Jethu’. Prosenjit shared how he used to play sitting on the lap of his ‘Uttam Jethu’ during his childhood. Prosenjit also spoke about Uttam Kumar's contribution to Bengali cinema and his special place in the hearts of the cinephiles.
Interestingly, one of the contestants also paid tribute by singing a song from Uttam Kumar’s movie.
